Middletown Mayor Proclaims Nursing Home Week Celebrating Wadsworth Glen

MIDDLETOWN, CT – Staff and residents at Wadsworth Glen Health and Rehabilitation Center celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week with a proclamation from Mayor Ben Florsheim of the City of Middletown.

This honorable week pays tribute to the dedication and commitment of all healthcare workers across the skilled nursing industry and celebrates the residents who reside in the centers. This recognition was part of the center’s week-long celebrations honoring the staff and residents. Mayor Florsheim presented the proclamation on Friday, May 17, 2024.

This year’s theme of National Skilled Nursing Care Week was Radiant Memories, Celebrating the Golden Age of Radio. The staff at Wadsworth Glen celebrated a certain decade each day of the week with Friday celebrating the 1990’s and staff wore 90s themed attire.

Mayor Florsheim thanked the staff for their tireless dedication in providing quality care to the residents at Wadsworth Glen and their commitment to working in healthcare, specifically within skilled nursing centers.
